BINTULU: Going blind is difficult to accept but this is what is happening to Razine Meseni, 37, from RPR Sebiew here whose eyesight is failing.

Razine could not afford to get his eyes treated after he was diagnosed with the condition.

He cannot go to work anymore and has to rely on assistance from Bintulu Welfare Department to support his wife and three children.

Yesterday, the People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela) Bintulu led by its officer Abdul Rashid Ibrahim went to Razine’s residence to hand over some cash and daily necessities.

According to Rashid, this assistance shows that Rela is concerned about Razine’s welfare and he hoped more relevant agencies could come forward to assist the family.

Razine when met at his rented house said he had almost completely lost the sight in both his eyes.

His only source of income is assistance from the Welfare Department.

“I cannot work anymore and my wife is a full-time housewife,” he said.
