MIRI: Local fans will get to meet Malaysian singer Lin Min Chen, who rose to fame after taking part in a singing competition in Taiwan, during a promotional tour of her new album ‘My Happy Adventure’ this June 25.

The Penang-born lass will be here as part of her East Malaysia tour, which also includes a session in Kota Kinabalu on June 24.

Chen’s popularity in Malaysia has grown rapidly, boosting her album of which sale has touched almost 1,000 units within a short period of time.

“We are proud and honoured to be able to invite her here for the tour as part of Bintang Megamall’s 20th anniversary celebrations,” mall senior event manager Allen Wong said during a press conference on the tour yesterday.

Wong added the event would be one of the most anticipated ones, following the success of BigFlo’s mini performance in April.

BigFlo, a hip-hop boy band from South Korea, was formed in 2014 under HO-Company. The group comprises Jung-kyun, Ron, Yoo-seong, Z-UK, HighTop and Ki-chun.

They were specially invited as a feature of Bintang Megamall’s 20th anniversary celebration.

“The mall’s two decades of existence has attracted the support of the local community and tourists alike. Therefore, we wish to bring only the best for our customers as part of our programmes to give back to the community.”

Twenty-six-year-old Lin, nicknamed ‘Goddess of the Country’, has a beautiful voice and an angelic smile – a combination that has captured the hearts of tens of thousands of fans from all over the country and also Taiwan.

The upcoming ‘My Happy Adventure’ tour here will be free of charge.

“We advise the fans to come early, before 8pm, to meet Lin,” said Wong.
