SIBU: Methodist Pilley Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IDP Australia (Kuching office) on April 7 for a mandate to conduct official IELTS examination at MPI campus. Many students here enrol to sit for the official IELTS Exam scheduled for July 16 or Oct 24 with MPI office.

IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, is designed to assess the language to study or work in countries where English is the language of communication. It tests the ability to listen, write and speak in English.

IELTS is recognised and accepted by over 9,000 organisations worldwide including universities, employers, professional bodies, immigration authorities and other government agencies.

It is developed by experts at Cambridge English Language Assessment. In line with the test format, MPI has designed the IELTS two-moth Preparatory Course to prepare students to sit for the exam. The course aims to help students

develop their reading skills, focused listening and note-taking, accuracy and ability in responding to written tasks, and clarity and fluency in expressing ideas and opinions.

The next course is from Aug 15 to Oct 15. For enquiry on IELTS Exam enrolment and IELTS Preparatory Course, contact MPI on 084-322268.
