KULAI: The police have solved at least 10 car-jackings in Johor, following the arrest of five men and two women in Kulai last Wednesday.

Six cars worth about RM1 million were seized from the suspects who were picked up under an operation codenamed ‘Ops Lejang Khas’ conducted by the Kulai CID. Johor police chief Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd said the seized vehicles comprised four Toyota models, Nissan and Mitsubishi.

He said the first suspect was nabbed at a house in Taman Anggerik, Kempas before five others were picked up in Permas Jaya, Taman Mount Austin and Taman Munshi Ibrahim.

The other suspect surrendered at the Kulai police headquarters yesterday, he said, adding that the group was allegedly involved in car-jacking over the past three months. — Bernama
