MIRI: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) views the shooting of its activist, Bill Kayong, seriously – not only as a Sarawak but a national issue.

The party will not rest on its laurels, but continue to highlight the matter at a higher level at the central leadership, said Rawang, Selangor assemblywoman Gan Pei Nei.

“This is about the security and safety of our activists, fighting for the right of NCR matters in Sarawak.

“No one should take the law into his or her own hands,” she said in an interview with The Borneo Post in the city here this morning (June 24).

Gan was accompanied by Kuala Sepetang, Perak assemblywoman Chua Yee Ling, PKR Selangor exco member Elizabeth Wong and Machang Bubuk, Penang assemblyman Lee Khai Loon.

The team was in Miri to attend Bill’s funeral.
