MIRI: Photos of two men going viral on social media (Facebook) who are allegedly Bill Kayong’s murderers are untrue, says state CID chief SAC Dev Kumar.
Pictures of the two men, uploaded on Facebook around 8pm last Saturday, have gone viral along with postings of their alleged involvement in Bill’s murder on June 21.
“One of the photos uploaded on social media is suspect to another murder case reported on June 6, while the other one is the immigration officer who was detained and allegedly assaulted with the PGA officers by the kampong folks,” Dev Kumar told The Borneo Post via two WhatsApp messages.
He said such act was irresponsible and could jeopardize police investigation into the case.
“Our team is working 24/7 to solve the murder and find the real culprits.
“Nothing so far,” concluded Dev Kumar, when asked on the latest progress on Bill’s murder case.
