SIBU: Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent is set to implement more development in his constituency in the next five years.

“I will continue to work hard for the people in the next five years. The victory in the concluded 11th State election

is to ensure development in Ngemah constituency,” Alexander said when addressing the BN Ngemah machinery’s appreciation cum closing of Gawai celebration at Rumah Adrian Luang, Bukit Temedak, Sungai Bawan in Kanowit yesterday.

Also present was his wife Susan Clement, Penghulu Bernabas Angkis and Penghulu Ijam Tuah.

He said it was his responsibility to serve the people as their representative.

“I will not only go to the ground during election time but also be with the people at other times to solve their problems,” Alexander said, thanking those who voted for him during the last state election.

He announced an RM8,000 grant for every longhouse’s village security and development committee (JKKK) in Jagau area including RM10,000 for Pedai and RM5,000 for Jih.

“In the last state election, the polling district centre (PDM) of Pedai received the highest BN votes followed by Jagau and Jih.

“Congratulations to you all for giving the mandate to BN for the next five years. I hope this will continue for future state elections,” he added.

At the function, Alexander presented a certificate of appreciation to the PDM concerned.
