MPRT performed Tahlil for his majesty’s late parents

The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) and its departments held a Tahlil ceremony for His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Muhammad Jamalul Alam and Al-Marhumah Dull Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong, brudirect.com reported.

The congregation of 150 was led by the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, Dato Paduka Awang Haji All bin Haji Apong.

Also present were the Permanent Secretary at the MPRT, Dr Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the MPRT, Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali; heads of departments; senior officers; officers; and staff.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, Surah Yaasiin and Tahlil led by Muhammad Amin bin Haji Salim, Mosque Affairs Officer of the Mohamed Bolkiah Mosque, Kampong Serusop.

The Tahlil was one of religious activities organised by the MPRT during Ramadhan.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) also held a Tahlil ceremony for His Majesty’s late parents at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong.

The congregation of 400 officers and staff including teachers from schools colleges and higher institutions of
learning, technical and vocational were led by the Minister of Education, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman.

Also present was the Deputy Minister of Education, Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar.

The recitation of Tahlil and Doa Arwah was led by Haji Abu Hanafiah bin Haji Mahmud, the Imam of Kampong Kapok Mosque.

Also present were Dr Haji Junaidi bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education) at the MoE; Dr Azman bin Ahmad, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Higher Learning) at the MoE; directors; senior officers; officers; and staff of the Ministry of Education.
