KUCHING: Sarawak are in no hurry to sign any new import player, according to interim head coach David Usop.

He is considering other options available for the team before the transfer window closes on 11.59pm on July 15.

A vacancy for a foreign import player has existed since the recent departure of Italian centre back Davide Grassi.

A few candidates have turned up for trials in recent weeks but only one has emerged as a potential Croc. He is Liberian Teah Dennis who is still under supervision by team officials.

“He is still training with us and he will be featured in our friendly matches. We still need to assess him,” David told reporters recently.

The Crocs are currently in Kuala Lumpur to play a series of friendly matches against local sides.

After the break for the fasting month of Ramadan, Sarawak will open their 2016 Malaysia Cup campaign away against Kedah on July 13.

When the Super League resumes in mid July, the Crocs will face their first test against Pahang on July 16.
