KUCHING: BCS Contract & Supply Services Sdn Bhd (BCS), which is directly involved in developing the oil and gas industry in Sarawak, has made new inroads in the aviation fuel industry.

The disclosure came from Mohamad Farouk Mohammad Tufail, the company’s executive chairman, who led the group for a courtesy call on Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud at the Astana on Thursday.

BCS is a fully Sarawak-based company and a well-established service provider for the oil and gas industry in Bintulu.

“During the courtesy call, Taib the Head of State was introduced to the company by the delegates. BCS recently diversified our business advancement to the aviation fuel industry as a Jet A-1 fuel reseller and also in the midst of bringing one of the biggest new petroleum companies into Sarawak,” added Farouk when contacted by reporters yesterday.

In response to the Sarawak Oil and Gas Committee (SOGC)’s mission, he revealed that BCS is working relentlessly to be one of the local companies directly involved in developing the oil and gas industry of Sarawak.

Thus, for this reason BCS will work closely with the respective ministry and Sarawak Oil and Gas Development Unit (SOGDU).

Farouk said in conjunction with the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, BCS took the opportunity to hand over an undisclosed cheque to the Sarawak Orphans Welfare Board (LKAYS) during the courtesy call which included the company’s CEO Robert Song.
