KUCHING: Sarawak have ended their search for an import player by signing on Liberian Teah Dennis.

Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) president Datu Sudarsono Osman disclosed this to reporters last Saturday.

“We are confident that he is the right player to be signed at the moment.

“With his experience, he is indeed a useful addition to the team,” he said.

Dennis, currently captain of their national team, led Barrack Young Controllers FC to win the Liberian Football Association (LFA) Cup and Super Cup in 2014.

His performances led him to play with Jordanian side Al-Ahli Sports Club on loan in 2015.

He impressed the FAS selection committee after playing for Sarawak in a few friendly matches while on trial.

The 24-year-old central defender fills Sarawak’s import slot left vacant after Italian Davide Grassi departed.

The Crocs are preparing for the Malaysia Cup competition which will kick off on July 13.

The Super League matches will resume on July 16.
