TA03568KUCHING: The new FinePix XP90 by Fujifilm Corporation (Fujifilm) features four rugged protection features, and weighs just 203 grammes.

The XP90’s compact and lightweight body also comes equipped with a high definition FUJINON lens and delivers high quality images thanks to Fujifilm’s unique color reproduction technology.

Built for the avid adventurer, the new XP90 is waterproof, shock proof, dust proof as well as able to operate under temperatures as low as 14°F/-10°C.

“Further protection from the elements is offered by the double-locking mechanism that prevents accidental opening of the battery/memory card compartment, plus there is a front grip and thumb rest for assured handling,” Fujifilm said in a press statement.

The XP90 also uses a 1/2.3-inch 16.4 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor for impressive results in a wide range of conditions. Coupled with a powerful processor, the camera delivers high quality images at a rapid rate; capturing images at up to 10 frames-per-second (fps) at full resolution and an incredible 60 fps at reduced resolution (2MP).

The XP90 offers a 5x optical zoom lens that includes a 28mm, wide-angle setting for sweeping landscape and scenic shots.

The optical zoom range can also be doubled to 10x with Fujifilm’s Intelligent Digital Zoom technology, while the camera’s Optical Image Stabilisation function ensures that any effects from camera shake are minimized.

The FinePix XP90 comes equipped with wireless functionality for remote shooting with the free Fujifilm Camera Remote app.

“The FinePix XP90 weighs just 203g, including the battery and memory card, so it is easy to carry and will fit into the corner of any bag.

“Despite its compact size, the XP90 comes equipped with a 3.0-inch 920K dot high definition LCD monitor making it easy to shoot and view images.

“The LCD also features an anti-reflective coating, which displays a clear image even in bright sunlight or underwater.

“LCD monitor brightness automatically adjusts according to ambient light levels, maintaining optimal visibility and preventing unnecessary battery drain,” it said.
