MIRI: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Ragad Kurdi Taib made their round of Hari Raya visits here yesterday.
Accompanying the couple were the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office Nancy Shukri, Minister of Welfare, Women and Community Wellbeing Datuk Fatimah Abdullah and Assistant Minister for Public Health Datuk Dr Jerip Susil.
They first visited the Assistant Minister for Solidarity and Bekenu assemblywoman Rosey Yunus at her residence in Taman Bumiko, Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai Bujang at Luak, Lambir assemblyman Ripin Lamat at Airport Road and PBB information chief Datuk Yusop Sani Wahab at Pujut 7.
Also seen with the entourage were Assistant Minister for Tourism and Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin, Piasau assemblyman Datuk Sebastian Ting and SUPP Pujut branch chairman Adam Yii.
In the afternoon, they visited Malay community leader Temenggong Abdul Rahman Fadzail, Miri Malay Association former president Dato Wan Morshidi Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Jatti Meirek Miri Association president Datuk Abdillah Abdul Rahim and Darul Ehsan Mosque Orphans and Welfare Bureau chairman Talhah Mansor.
In the evening, the couple attended the ‘Hari Raya Aidilfitri Night’ at Mega Hotel.
The event was organised by the Miri Malay Charitable Trust Board (LAKMM).
