BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: The City Patrol (Patko) Squad II of Sabhara Unit Banjarmasin Policedetained five men caught binge drinking what they named as Gaduk oplosan AntaranewsKalsel reported.
“Initially we received information from the public there were some men binge drinking and immediately we came it was true,” said Commander of Squad II Aipda M Nono in Banjarmasin, Sunday.
He said the arrest was conducted on Sunday (17/7) afternoon at around 16:00 pm in Jalan Muara kelayan B, South Banjarmasin.
There had been a chase before the arrest, but the perpetrators lost in swift with the police and finally caught and herded all into police headquarters.
The squad also secured the evidence of the adulterated liquor (oplosan) bottles. They mixed the drink by themselves.
“All the actors of oplosan party we have secured and put in a cage truck during 1×24 hours in order to ensure a deterrent effect,” said the man who had served in Banjarmasin Police Traffic Unit.
Nono continued to say, the five men were identified as H (21), R (51), AP (27) and M (27), they are residents of Kelayan B, South Banjarmasin. While MR (32) is a resident of Handil Bakti, Batola district.
“These five men currently in the inspection if there is an element of crime then we move on to the misdemeanor in court,” said the tall and big man.
