Banjarmasin thwarted one ounce circulation of Sabu-sabu

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Banjarmasin Drug Unit Police thwarted narcotics type of crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu) circulation weighing one ounce and apprehended the perpetrators in the local town, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“Three actors we arrested in our success thwarting the circulation of crystal methamphetamine weighing one ounce,” said Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Drs Wahyono MH through the Drug Unit head Kompol Fery Sitorus Sik here on Monday.

He said the three men arrested in the drug ring weighing one ounce were Zulkarnain aka Zul (50), Syaifullah alias Saiful (45), and Syahroni aka Roni (28). All were residents of Pekapuran Raya, East Banjarmasin.

The arrest occurred on Saturday (16/7) afternoon around 14:30 pm in the area of Pekapuran Raya.

The drug unit head, who was accompanied by the Unit I head Inspector Imam Wahyu Pramono STK, said the success of thwarting sabu-sabu trafficking thanks to investigation by members in the field for a week to monitor the activity of all three actors.

Information obtained from the public the three actors often did drug dealing in the Pekapuran Raya.

“The investigation led directly by Unit I head Inspector Police Imam Wahyu Pramono and with no waste they caught three offenders and securing the evidence,” he said.

Fery who had served as Chief of Narcotics unit Police of Tanah Bumbu also said that from the interrogation the evidence found in the hands of Zul.

This case continues to be developed and Zul was known as sabu-sabu croupier, while Saiful and Roni were couriers.

“Zul admitted the sabu-sabu obtained from a friend with initials WN which is currently in the List of Most Wanted(DPO),” he said.

Three actors are now detained and charged under Article 114 paragraph 2 of Law No. 35 Year 2009 on Narcotics, under penalty of a minimum of 6 years in prison.

The disclosure of an ounce of crystal methamphetamine is included in a series of 100-day work program of National Police Chief.
