TAWAU: A 45-year-old man was killed on the spot while a 16-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries when their Proton Iswara car collided with a trailer at Jalan Apas Balung, Mile 22, here about 4.34pm yesterday.
The teenage victim, Asmuni Said, was taken out of the car by firemen while the public brought the injured victim to the Tawau Hospital.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a call at 4.34pm and sent a fire engine with five firemen to the scene about 5.06pm.
