SIBU: Sarawak campaign in the badminton team event fizzled out when both the men and women failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
The men beat Sabah 4-1 to register their first win at Sibu Indoor Stadium yesterday.
But the women’s team lost to Malacca, Wilayah Perseketuan and Perak by the same 1-4 margin.
Selangor will play Malacca while Kedah take on Penang in the men’s last four.
The women’s semi-finals will see Wilayah Perseketuan against Selangor and Perak facing Penang.
