KUCHING: Sarawak benefitted from a rare phenomenon at the Sukma tenpin bowling competition when two gold medals were awarded for the women’s individual event.

Twenty-year-old Nerosha Keligit and Nur Syafiqah Sajeli, a year younger, both scored identical 1,241 pins to share the honours at the Megalanes Bowling Centre at Emart Batu Kawah yesterday.

Johor’s N.Stafiqah Mustaffa, who scored 1,215, took the bronze.

State team manager Robert Lu Nam Min told reporters that the team had prepared two years for the tournament and was happy that the players have been rewarded.

He is expecting more good news as the squad are targeting four gold medals by the end of the bowling competition.
