BINTULU: Community nurse Selamah Arsat received the Most Outstanding Nurse Award from the Rotary Club of Bintulu in conjunction with the club’s 30th anniversary and installation ceremony of its new board members at a hotel here on Saturday night.

The award was presented by outgoing president Dr Ong Kian Huat witnessed by immediate past district governor Philip Chong Mau Kiong and past district governor Abang Nawawi Abang Drahman.

Selamah, who works as a community nurse in Bintulu Health department, has served over 36 years with the Ministry of Health and Sarawak Health Department. She is active in many associations and clubs.

Among the criteria that won her the award were patience, helpful, good cooperation with other medical staff, courteous and punctual.

Meanwhile, SMK Bandar won the Most Outstanding Interact Club award and received a trophy, a certificate and cash prize. Second and third places went to SMK Bintulu and SMK Kidurong respectively.
