KUCHING: The Sheda Property Expo 2016 brings to you the opportunity to witness the largest real estate one-stop event in Sarawak at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) from Sept 23 to 25.
The annual affair is run by Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers Association (Sheda), with support from the Housing and Urbanisation Ministry and Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
The expo was established by Sheda in 1998 – when the economy was facing hard times – as a proactive approach to stimulate the recovery of the property industry, as well as to give astute developers and purchasers alike the chance to gain leverage before the economic rebound.
The expo will give potential buyers broader real estate development options, with an opportunity for face-to-face interactions with various developers.
The three-day event is expected to host over 100 exhibitors comprising residential and commercial property developers, financiers, real estate agents and appraisers, land investors, home furnishing, appliances and decoration businesses, automobile dealers, as well as government agencies and non-governmental organisations (NGOs). Last year, the expo managed to attract 10,000 visitors.
According to WTW Sarawak’s Property Market Review 2015 and outlook 2016, there is still good demand for houses priced below RM400,000 per unit.
“The property sector (residential and commercial) remains stable, especially for those (properties) in prime locations. The expo provides an excellent platform for property developers to showcase existing, newly launched and award-winning residential and commercial developments.”
