KUCHING: Despite every determined stroke under the hot sun, Sarawak’s mixed doubles tennis team got knocked out before making it to the semi final round.
Sarawak team (Low Zhe Han and Belinda Chai) was defeated by Christian Chin and Nursharneem Imann from Sabah with a score of 76(3) 75, where the latter will proceed to the semi final round tomorrow.
At the time of writing, another mixed doubles Sarawak team (Alvin Teng and Aslina Chua) is up against Muhd Asyraff Safian and Aznor Qistina Mastura from Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (WPKL) in the quarter final.
The women’s double semi final is pitting the Terengganu team (Sara Nayar and Uma Nayar) against Penang (Michelle Khoo and Bharthie Murugan), and Selangor (Archnaah Rajan and Suhana Sofia) against Sarawak (Belinda Chai and Linda Liong).
