Indonesian cleaner jailed for peeping nurse in toilet

KUALA LUMPUR: An Indonesian cleaner was sentenced to five months’ jail by the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday for peeping a nurse in a toilet at a health clinic here.

Magistrate Siti Radziah Kamarudin handed down the sentence on Ricky Jandriadi, 20, who pleaded guilty to the charge.

Ricky pleaded guilty to peeping a 24-year-old nurse with an intention to outrage her modesty at the Klinik Kesihatan Ibu dan Anak here at 7.40am last July 22.

The charge, under Section 509 of the Penal Code, carries an imprisonment for up to five years, or with fine, or both, upon conviction.

The Indonesian man, who was unrepresented, was also sentenced to two months’ jail for overstaying in the country.

The offence was committed at the compound of the Cheras Health Clinic here at 8.30pm last July 22.

He was ordered to serve both the jail sentences concurrently from the date of arrest, which was July 22.

The prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Nor Diana Nor Azwa. — Bernama
