SANDAKAN: Barisan Nasional (BN) leaders here must not be lazy and neglect their responsibilities towards the people, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman said.

Musa said to be elected by the people as leaders was not a privilege but a responsibility, a task that must be done.

“BN leaders should continue working for the people. The rakyat will be the judge for themselves whether the government is serving them (or the opposition).

“There is no stop to BN’s effort. This is our approach: go to the  ground to communicate with the rakyat anytime possible,” Musa said here yesterday when attending a raya celebration at Dataran Masjid Tinusa 2, Mile 7 here, yesterday.

The celebration combined all BN components, local leaders and villagers from the Libaran constituency.

Musa said he was very happy to see obvious development in the area which includes one big mosque, a school and road construction.

Over 3,000 people attended the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
