KUCHING: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg represented Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Adenan Satem at the opening ceremony of the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) in Jakarta, Indonesia yesterday.

According to a press statement, Abang Johari was joined by his delegation which included Deputy State Secretary Datu Ismawi Ismuni and Sarawak Islamic Council president Datu Misnu Taha.

The three-day WIEF, which will be held until tomorrow is graced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in his capacity as WIEF patron. Najib delivered a keynote address and officiated at the forum alongside Indonesian president Joko Widodo.
