Police: Crackdown illegal racing

BANJARMASIN, South Kalimantan: Head of the Banjarbaru Sabhara Police AKP Sapari here said it would crack down on any illegal racing action going on in the local town, AntaranewsKalsel reported.

“It will be a warning to illegal racers who still dare to commit action in the city. Do not be blame the police if we act decisively,” he said on Tuesday.

He said, the supervision on the wild racing will continue to be every night, while in weekend members reinforced with additional troops.

“Do not try to do a wild race, because our members will be deployed and ready to disperse actions that endanger the safety,” he said.

To anticipate the actions police are deployed some riding car and others who move fast and mobile with dirt bike riding.

“We do this because Banjarbaru police is concerned to keep the streets free from the action of the illegal racers,” he said.

On Saturday (30/7) police also carried out patrols in anticipation of a wild race. The patrol was divided into two teams;one at alun alun (town square) led by Ipda Tajudinoor.

The other one was focus on keeping the roundabout intersection of Banjarbaru led Ipda Supriyono along with several members that are ready to intercept the illegal racers.

“I wish the city dubbed the name “Idaman” is free of wild racing action, racketeering and other criminal actions. For that Banjarbaru Police presents uniformed police in the midst of society,” he said.
