KUCHING: Sarawak Dayak National Union (SDNU) are inviting players from the Dayak community to participate in the 6th SDNU President’s Cup Closed Badminton tournament to be held from Sept 15-17.
The tournament, which will take place at Sentosa Sports Centre at Kota Sentosa, will end with a dinner and prize giving at
Rooftop Restaurant of the Penview Hotel, Jalan Pending here on Sept 17.
According to event co-technical advisor Petrus Ngalih Tingi on Tuesday, the annual tournament first started in 2012 here and have been held in Kapit, Bintulu and Sibu as well.
The tournament will comprise the men’s doubles (team category) with RM200 entry fee per team and the women’s doubles with RM30 entry fee per pair.
Deadline for submission of entries will be on Sept 12.

On Monday the organising committee members led by Datuk Paduka Anthony Nait Mani paid a courtesy call on SDNU president Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom at his office in Rubber Road here to invite him to officiate at the opening ceremony.
