Tu Kah Chiong, 27, of Jalan Daro Taman Tunku; Mohamad Fitri Fauzi, 29, from Jalan Dawai 1 Pujut 4D; and Raymond Sim Yeat Choon, 23, of Riam Road, were produced at the Sessions Court here at 10am yesterday and charged under Section 427 with committing mischief and Section 307 with attempted murder, read together with Section 34 of the Penal Code.

Based on the fact of case, the accused allegedly assaulted Jambai, 47, his wife-Bibi Unding, 46, and Floren Manie, 18, by ramming into their car three times, causing the car to veer off the road before it turned on its side. The accused later hit their car using baseball bat before slashing Jambai’s right arm with a Samurai sword.

The offence was committed at 1.30pm on Nov 26, 2015 at Bulatan Pelita, Jalan Pujut-Miri.

Meanwhile, the state CID chief SAC Dev Kumar said they were looking for the fourth suspect, Kong, who hails from Lot 2041, Phase 2, Desa Bahagia here. Mohamad Fitri is the same person involved in the Bill Kayong’s murder case.

“Our investigating team has reviewed all the police reports filed related to the NCR land disputes at Bekelit in Bekenu. One of the cases involves the attack on Tuai Rumah Jambai Jali and his wife,” said Dev Kumar.
