RM100,000 in funding for Sports Day events in Bintulu

BINTULU: A total of RM100,000 in allocation has been distributed to organise various activities at the divisional-level National Sports Day 2016 in Bintulu next month.

The allocation was officially presented by Deputy Resident (Social) Richard Michael Abunawas at Bintulu Resident’s Office on Thursday.

Also present were Bintulu Youth and Sports officer Nik Muhammad Asraff Nik Mod Kamal and Bintulu Triathlon Association president Danny Hii Wei Meing.

The presentation comprised allocations for Bintulu, Tatau and Sebauh including 99 Village Security and Development Committees (JKKKs) under Bintulu, Tatau and Sebauh districts.

A total of RM25,000 fund was allocated for Bintulu Division, RM10,000 each for Tatau and Sebauh districts, RM5,500 for Bintulu Parliamentary constituency and RM500 each for 99 JKKKs in Bintulu Division.

The Sports Day event will be held on Oct 8 (Saturday) at Bintulu Civic Centre. There are lots of attractive activities planned such as 10km run, 22km cycling, aerobathon race, frisbee competition, futsal, street soccer, zumba and many more.
