KUCHING: The state’s administration and business organisations are urged to emulate the leadership style of Ngu Ting Sii the managing director of Emart Group of Companies to be successful.

Chairman of Padawan Municipal Council, Lo Khere Chiang, said looking after a business organisations was like looking after the government.

“If we have more people like Ngu in our business organisations and in our government administration, from politicians to the administrative officers, Sarawak will excel in Malaysia,” he said at the closing ceremony of Carnival Emart 2016 in Batu Kawa yesterday.

Lo, who is also Batu Kitang assemblyman, said Emart Batu Kawa had truly come a long way in serving the community in Batu Kawa with endless choices of products and goods and living up to its name of being an ‘ideal choice of the people’ since its establishment on Aug 28, 2014.

He also urged the people of Batu Kawa to continue supporting Emart Batu Kawa as the most desired and favourable ‘one stop shopping mall’ in Kuching — the provider of highest quality products, efficient customer services and joyful shopping experience.

On the event itself, Lo said it (Emart Carnival 2016), was meant as a token of appreciation to those who had supported the supermarket throughout the years. Various activities such as rooftop food fair, carnival booths, exciting activities such as treasure chest challenge and outdoor cinema were held.

Emart Batu Kawa has also emphasized on giving back to society in line with its vision of ‘pursuit of healthy, peaceful and happy life’.

This year, Emart Batu Kawa collaborated with Hope Place Kuching in organising various charitable activities such as charity outdoor cinema and the placing of collection boxes around the shopping mall to support the needy.

“The initiative has always

been the main core of the company,” Lo said, adding that the month-long carnival had attracted many people to contribute items to the needy, something we should be proud of.

“We hope these items will help to lessen the burden of those in need. Hope Place has certainly done great things in terms of providing assistance to those who are less fortunate and I sincerely hope that their enthusiasm will rub on onto others.”

Managing director of Emart Group of Companies Ngu Ting Sii, property advisor Chan Hiok San, manager of Emart Property Batu Kawa Simon Lee, property senior executive Chloe Chan and founder of Hope Place Kuching Kelvin Wan were also present at the ceremony.
