KUALA LUMPUR: Pos Malaysia has been awarded Level A* for Quality Management Certification at the 26th Universal Postal Union (UPU) Congress 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey.

In a statement, the company said the A-Star award given by the UPU was in recognition of Pos Malaysia’s global excellence in applying quality management processes and delivering excellent service performance of its international mail products.

The certification award was accepted by Pos Malaysia group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Shukrie Mohd Salleh and witnessed by Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Jailani Johari.

“This certification reinforces Pos Malaysia’s position as the leading and reputable postal operator in the world,” said the company which attributed the achievement to the hard work and commitment put in by its employees.

“It’s indeed a significant testament of Pos Malaysia’s ability to continually improve its quality of service in meeting the needs of its customers,” it added.

Level A* is the highest of five levels of award given by UPU, an agency under the United Nations, to postal operators that have achieved the highest level of quality standards in international mail operations. — Bernama
