SIBU: Ex-students of SMK Rosli Dhoby here will be holding a reunion dinner at Tanahmas Hotel this Dec 10.

Organising chairman Azmi Bujang said in a press statement yesterday that the gathering would be attended by past principals and teachers and former Forms 5A, 5B and 5C students from 1976 to 1980.

“We are working hard to trace all our former classmates. Some are residing in other states, and a number are overseas,” he said.

Azmi, who is Sarawak Foundation director, added: “The most prominent of our classmate is Nangka assemblyman Dr Annuar Rapa’ee, who is also the assistant minister for Science Research and Biotechnology.

Dr Annuar has consented to be the committee advisor and guest-of-honour at the get-together.

“All our former teachers have retired, and we managed to contact a few of them,” said Azmi.

He hoped they would be able to attend.

“The evening will be full of nostalgia, filled with fun and music. We hope our former classmates will not miss this opportunity to reminisce on our younger days.”

Former classmates who have yet to sign-up can call Habsah at 019-8772975, Leh Ping (019-8231388) or Kui Ling (019-8193062).
