SEPANG: Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) passengers can now enjoy KLIA Premier Access service.

The service, starting from RM68, provides passengers some light refreshments and free Internet services at the KLIA Premier Access Lounge.

Passengers can also be buggy-driven from the kerbside to the departure gate and fast tracked through check-in, immigration and customs.

The service is available for passengers departing from or arriving at KLIA.

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) Managing Director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali, in a speech at the KLIA Premier Access opening at KLIA here yesterday, said the service aims to help customers meet their basic needs, provide unique experiences and create memorable moments.

“For a start, this service is currently available at KLIA and will be expanded to Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (klia2) “and other airports in the first quarter of next year,” he said.

Badlisham said the number of complaints on KLIA’s toilets has dropped significantly by about 70 per cent compared to last month, adding the KLIA Premier Access and upgrading of airport toilets are several initiatives under MAHB’s 2016-2020 five-year business plan called Runway to Success 2020.

The plan’s four strategic pillars are establishing KLIA as the premier Asean hub, ehancing the total airport experience, facilitating the development of the KLIA aeropolis, and increasing KLIA’s international footprint. — Bernama
