HULU SELANGOR: All 340 residents affected by the landslide incident at Taman Idaman Serendah have been evacuated to Sekolah Rendah Agama Serendah here.
Hulu Selangor police chief Supt R Supramaniam said they would be placed at the temporary evacuation centre until repair works were completed.
He said a technical team from the Public Works Department would re-evaluate the groundwater flow to ensure the safety aspects of the area.
“Updates will be issued from time to time, I hope that all parties will give their cooperation to the authorities,” he told a
press conference here yesterday.
He said the repair operation was being jointly carried out by agencies such as the Fire and Rescue Department, Civil Defence Force and Public Works Department.
Earlier, Supramaniam had declared the scene of the landslide scene as restricted ‘Red Zone’ area. — Bernama
