SIBU: A host of activities has been lined up for the sixth edition of Sibu Bike Week at the town square here, running for three days beginning yesterday.

These include a car exhibition, live band performances and also competitions for bands, scooter owners, skateboarders and BMX cyclists.

Sibu Bike Week is organised by Razz Chopper Motor Club headed by Abdul Razak Abdul Salam.

Today, from 10am, there is going to be a ride-round-town, Miss Sibu Bike Week 2016, band competition, a tattoo show, car drifting demonstration, bike and car exhibition, bikes games and competition, slow ride competition as well as skateboard and BMX competitions.

Today, the Miss Sibu Bike Week pageant final, Mr Fit challenge, as well as Mr and Miss Tattoo competitions are scheduled to be held.

Other activities for the day are the stunt and mini GP show, and a meet-and-greet with the women bikers – all slated to commence at 4pm .

Second Finance Minister Dato Sri Wong Soon Koh is expected to officiate at the launch at 7pm, which will be followed by a fireworks display.

The results for all competitions will be announced between 8pm and midnight.

On Sunday, a karaoke competition will run from 9am till 5pm.

According to Abdul Razak, this year’s Bike Week has attracted about 200 bike clubs, including those from Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Germany, Australia, USA, Indonesia, Brunei and the Middle East.
