KUCHING: Kuching Badminton Association (KBA) recently announced its new board members for 2017-2019 with Anderson Voon serving as president, Azizi Murni as vice president, Iskandar Datu Hamid (secretary), and David Chong (treasurer) while Johnny Ng and Saiful will serve as committee members.
In a press statement yesterday, Voon said all the newly appointed board members embody the spirit of community among the youths, bringing talent, expertise and energy to the table.
In conjunction with the appointment of the new board members, the association announced the KBA Age-Group tournament to be held at Stapok Hall, Jalan Stapok here from Dec 13-15.
The objective of the three-day competition is to select players to represent Kuching division.
There will be five categories: Under-9 Singles (Boys & Girls), U-11 Singles (Boys & Girls), U-13 Singles & Doubles (Boys & Girls), U-15 Singles & Doubles (Boys & Girls) and U-17 Singles & Doubles (Boys & Girls). Registration will close on Dec 8.
