Chinese New Year (CNY) Bazaar 2017 will be held in India Street Pedestrian Mall.
KUCHING: India Street Pedestrian Mall Committee is holding its first Chinese New Year (CNY) Bazaar from Jan 12 to 26, 2017.
Traders will be selling CNY goodies from 5pm to 11pm daily during the bazaar period.
The pre-colonial and historical site is a cultural heritage located in the city centre.
The objective of the CNY bazaar is to promote trading activities in India Street and provide an opportunity for hawkers and young entrepreneurs to trade and generate income.
Also, it is to celebrate CNY and promote unity by attracting different races to visit the place.
The rentals for each stall (6 feet x 6 feet) is RM150 (from Jan 12 to 26).
The fee is inclusive of licence, cleaning, maintenance and decoration.
