KUALA LUMPUR: The public are asked to channel information relating to the influx of foreigners in their areas to the Malaysian Community Care Foundation (MCCF).

Its chairman Halim Ishak said such information could help MCCF collect data of the group besides ensuring the safety of residents in the areas under monitoring.

“MCCF is conducting a data collection programme to identify the actual number of foreigners, whether those legally registered, without employers or have doubtful status.

“The programme also offers foreigners the service of sending back bodies, being sponsored by MCCF, and counselling service for problems they face,” he told a media conference after attending the MCCF Welfare and Data Collection Programme Information Seminar here yesterday. — Bernama
