The aftermath of the accident that took the life of Johanna Alison Diana.
KAPIT: A fatal road accident along Jalan Sungai Sut, Baleh claimed the life of a 14-year-old girl.
In the accident that occurred around 4.30pm on Tuesday, Johanna Alison Diana from Rumah Sanggau, Karangan Pulau, Sungai Sut, Baleh was travelling in a 4WD vehicle during a heavy rainfall with three other passengers and the driver when the driver lost control of the vehicle due to the bad weather and poor visibility.
The vehicle overturned and landed on its side.
She was proclaimed dead upon arrival at the Kapit Hospital due to serious injuries.
The others were treated for minor injuries.
Kapit OCPD DSP Freddy Bian confirmed the case and said the case was investigated under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act, 1987.
