Only 25 individuals nominated chosen for Selangor honours

SHAH ALAM: Only 25 out of the 750 individuals nominated were selected to receive state honours in conjunction with the 71st birthday of Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah this Sunday.

State Secretary Datuk Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya (rpt: Mohd Amin Ahmad Ahya) said only two out of the 25 would be conferred the Darjah Kerabat Selangor Yang Amat Dihormati (D.K) award.

Two individuals will be conferred the Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (S.P.M.S) award which carries the title ‘Datuk Seri’ while two others will receive the Datuk Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (S.S.I.S) honour that carries the ‘Datuk Setia’ title, he said in a statement here yesterday.

Nineteen others will receive the Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (D.P.M.S) and Datuk-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (D.S.I.S) awards, both of which carry the ‘Datuk’ title for men and ‘Datin Paduka’ for women.  Six athletes will be conferred awards and medals as per the Kebesaran Sukan Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, which were introduced by the sultan last year.

Five will be conferred the Darjah Kebesaran-Ahli Kegemilangan Sukan Selangor (A.K.S) award and the other the Bintang Kecemerlangan Sukan Selangor (B.K.S) medal.  — Bernama
