KUALA LUMPUR: Samsung Malaysia Electronics and Maybank have collaborated to introduce the Samsung Pay contactless mobile payment service, beginning with an open beta service in Malaysia exclusively for Maybank cardholders.

Secure and easy to use, Samsung Pay can be used to make purchases almost anywhere that accepts debit, credit and prepaid cards.

“To make a payment on Samsung Pay, users can simply swipe their eligible smartphone, scan their fingerprint and pay,” according to a joint statement issued by Samsung and Maybank today.

The service, available to users with Maybank Visa debit, credit or prepaid cards, is compatible with Samsung smartphones including the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, S6 edge+, Note5, Galaxy A5 and A71.

Maybank cardholders will enjoy exclusive access to Samsung Pay during the three-week open beta test from Dec 9-31 this year. – Bernama
