Show your talents at BPIEF Talent Show-Off

KUCHING: Organiser of The Borneo Post International Education Fair (BPIEF) is inviting members of the public, especially youths statewide to participate in the inaugural BPIEF Talent Show-Off to be held at Vivacity Megamall here March 11 – 12 next year.

BPIEF Talent Show-Off, organised in conjunction with the 8th edition of the annual education fair next year as one of its main side activities, is aimed at providing opportunities for participants to perform before a wider audience.

“It is an excellent platform for participants to showcase their talents to the general audience coming from far and wide during the two-day event, which can include dancing, cooking demonstration and martial arts.

“For the first season of BPIEF Talent Show-Off, we are expecting over 250 participants from over 20 teams. Performers must be amateurs,” said BPIEF spokesperson Jude Toyat.

The organiser also hopes to promote a healthy lifestyle among participants and the larger community through the event.

“The performances will be evaluated based on several criteria to include creativity, costume, choreography, stage presence and audience response, depending on the type of performance the participants are showcasing.”

The judges’ decision is final.

Submission of entries must be received on or before Jan 20, 2017 and registration is free.

Other sideline activities will include Sarawak General Hospital Blood Bank, Sarawak Nursing Professional Association Health Checks, Authentic Sarawak display locally made products such as beadwork, as well as lucky

draw offering lots of exciting prizes.

The programme at Vivacity is expected to attract 8,000 visitors mostly youths and students who should take the chance to examine their study options with the exhibitors at Vivacity’s event hall on Level 2.

To date, 38 exhibitors have confirmed their participation.
