KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Abdul Rashid Harun said the security forces are always ready to confront any possible threat to guarantee safety and national sovereignty.

“We never panic and will make whatever preparation to guarantee the safety, sovereignty and security of our country in whatever way. This is proven.

“We have been working hard to ensure the wellbeing of all,” he told reporters here after attending the closing ceremony of a bodyguarding training series 1/2016 here today.

Abdul Rashid said this when commenting on ‘talks’ spread in ESSZone of reprisal from cross-border criminals following the success of Malaysian security forces in shooting dead three criminals on Dec 5 in the waters of Pulau Gaya, Semporna.

At the event, 28 police officers and personnel completed two weeks of training in various skills including using firearms and martial arts related to the duties of security guards for dignitaries.
