KAPIT: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing distributed minor rural project (MRP) grants totalling RM2,496,400 to 126 bodies here on Friday.
The function was held at Bletih State Complex here, and among the recipients were village security and development committee (JKKKs), parent-teacher association (PTAs), associations and sport and recreational clubs.
In his brief remarks, Masing reminded the recipients to use the money well, to keep proper records of how the money was spent, and to inform their respective longhouse folk of the grants.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi, Bukit Goram assemblyman Jefferson Jamit Unyat, Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong and Kapit Resident Joseph Belayong.
