39 big bikers to roar off on Borneo Solidarity Ride

KUCHING: A total of 39 high powered motorbikes from Peninsular Malaysia will roar off for a journey across Borneo on Saturday.

Jointly organised by the Superbikes Association Malaysia and supported by the Home Ministry, the convoy is the latest to be held in Borneo, where similar trips have garnered much popularity for big bikers from the peninsula and other countries across Asia. Dubbed the Borneo Solidarity Ride, the riders will embark on the 10-day journey to explore the uniqueness of Sarawak, Sabah and neighbouring Brunei Darussalam.

Throughout the entire journey, the entourage will make stops at Sibu, Miri, Keningau, Tawau, Sandakan, Kundasang before ending their trip at Kota Kinabalu.

The bikes will then be airflown from Kota Kinabalu to Kuala Lumpur after the journey. The riders and bikes will be flown in from Kuala Lumpur  to Kuching tomorrow.
