KAPIT: The Kapit Football Team lived up to their nickname ‘Borneo Leopards’ by defeating the visiting Serian Team 2-0 last Saturday.

The Liga Bolasepak Rakyat Zon Borneo 2 match was played at the Padang Sukan Kapit.

A few hundreds fans saw Mohd Ridwan Ghazi scored the opening goal in the 41st minute. Clifford Unggam sealed the game for the home team with a second goal just before  the final whistle.

Both teams observed a minute of silence before the match as a mark of respect to the beloved late Chief Minister of Sarawak Tan Sri Datuk Amar AdenanSatem.

The Leopards have played against Betong, Sarikei, Sibu and Serian to date. However their scheduled match on Dec 31 did not take place the team was unable to visit Limbang.
