KOTA KINABALU: A 38-year-old manager claimed trial yesterday at the Magistrate’s Court here to molesting his colleague.
Stanly Jilang, who appeared before magistrate Jessica Ombou Kakayun, was charged under Section 354 of the Penal Code, which provides for a jail term of up to 10 years or with a fine or with whipping or any two of such punishments, upon conviction.
He was alleged to have used criminal force to outrage the modesty of the 25-year-old woman by spanking her bottom using a napkin at a bar restaurant of a hotel here at 1pm on January 15.
The court fixed February 9 for case management and released the accused on RM2,500 bail with two local sureties, pending disposal of the case.
