Facebook chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg has been resisting calls from her own home and has stuck to the rules of Facebook – and not allowed her own daughters to use the social media.

Sandberg’s daughters are 9 and 11 years old – still too young for Facebook, which requires users to be at least 13 years old. Sandberg said her children are annoyed that they can’t use Facebook, even though their mother works for the social media giants.

“I cannot break our own rules,” Sandberg told the German-language mass daily Bild.

Sandberg has also said no to her daughters being on Instagram.

Facebook says that some countries have even stricter regulations, with an age limit even higher than 13.
