KUCHING: Jessie Chung received a platinum record award for exceeding total record sales of 15,000 copies of her ‘There You Are’ album within just three months in 2016 from Warner Music Malaysia and the album’s physical CD distributor PMP Entertainment.

Chung’s debut English album was well-received by the public during its release last year.

She will be promoting her new album ‘Be Strong’ in China, Australia, and European countries to meet her fans.

She wanted to encourage people especially those depressed, with her songs.

At an appreciation dinner with family and friends here on Monday, she said she would be spending most of her time working in Australia and China.

Warner Music Malaysia and Future Entertainment and Music Group Australia have awarded Chung the Outstanding Achievement in the Music Industry Award for her achievement in music charts in Taiwan and YouTube views for the album ‘There You Are’.
