KUCHING: New or current students in Bachelor’s degree programmes at Singapore Institute of Management Global Education (SIM GE) can apply for the SIM GE Scholarship.
The scholarships are tenable for the minimum period required to complete the full or remaining course of study, as stipulated by the respective programme. The award covers tuition fees, examination fees, a fixed book allowance and other compulsory fees. The scholarship does not cover repeat fees and there is no bond attached to the scholarship.
Besides that, students enrolling for SIM Diploma programmes may also apply for the SIM Global Education Diploma Scholarship.
Awards are granted to students with exemplary academic results who possess strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills. The scholarship is tenable for the minimum period required to complete the full course of study, as stipulated by the respective programme. The award covers course fees only (in Singapore dollars). There is no bond attached to the scholarship.

SIM GE’s campus is equipped with the latest technology and facilities to enhance students’ learning experiences. The student-centric campus is enabled with high-speed wireless Internet access. Besides a comprehensive management library, there are also many indoor and outdoor study areas.

“Studying in SIM is a great experience for me as I get to know a lot of friends from different countries. I participated in many interesting club activities such as Judo Club. I also joined many workshops such as Career Success for International Students and others which were very useful,” said Tung Cher Yun, a 2016 Star Scholar and student in the SIM Diploma in Banking and Finance programme.
“I gained a lot of knowledge from these workshops and it helped me to be more prepared for entering the Singapore workforce in the future,” Tung added.
Chai Jun Wen, a Malaysian student currently enrolled in the SIM-RMIT University Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) programme shared similar sentiments.
He said the most rewarding aspect of his stint as an Accounts Intern at N-F Mechanical & Engineering is the skills that he picked up outside the classroom.
“My internship has increased my employability and given me a clearer idea of my preferred career path,” Chai said.
SIM GE will be participating in the eighth edition of The Borneo Post International Education Fair (BPIEF). Held from March 11 to 12 at Vivacity Megamall from 10am until 7pm, BPIEF 2017 will have about 50 exhibitors with 75 booths having confirmed their participation. The event is expected to draw 8,000 visitors.
