KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Civil Defence Force (APM) is satisfied with the cooperation between government agencies in handling the flood situation in Kota Samarahan.

APM chief commissioner Major General (Rtd) Datuk Azmy Yahya said the agencies were the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), People’s Volunteer Corps (Rela), Welfare Department and Health Department.

“This cooperation shows that all agencies around the state and country are prepared for the flood, which is expected to happen around this time.

“This cooperation should last for as long as it can because each agency has a role of its own,” he said when visiting the flood evacuation centre at the Kota Samarahan Community Hall on Thursday.

During the visit, there were 68 flood victims from 13 families staying at the centre.
